The Sonzol leather colors
Many of our pieces, particularly our premium designs undergo antiquing, a traditional finishing technique that's becoming increasingly rare in modern furniture production.
This hand-applied process works with the leather's natural texture, settling darker tones into creases and grain variations while allowing lighter shades to emerge on raised surfaces. The result is a lived-in patina that brings dimension and character from the first day, as if the piece has been gathering stories for years.
Rather than uniform color, antiquing creates subtle shifts in tone across each hide—the kind of variation you'd find in a well-loved vintage piece. It's a slow craft that refuses to be rushed, honoring both the material and the artisan's hand.
